History meets Shopify as luxury finds its place in ecommerce
Our Domaine Studio team partnered with Daveed to craft a beautiful new ecommerce presence on Shopify for this luxury brand, leaning into high-end design and intuitive functionality that would embody the proud heritage of the brand's story and products.
The Domaine Studio team collaborated closely with Design & Build Co., an agency specializing in digital retail experiences for luxury, fashion, and beauty brands. Together, we built a completely customized Shopify site for Daveed, establishing a joint approach to develop and implement a custom-built theme. Domaine Studio addressed the client’s needs for custom animations, content management, mega menu navigation, and other features that enhance the customer experience and align with Daveed’s modern luxury brand.
To meet the client’s uncompromising design aesthetic, Domaine Studio used high-quality photography and typography throughout the site. We ensured that the beautiful, custom-positioned images on each page are fully manageable by the merchant. The site features appealing pages with multiple image carousels, some specifically designed for mobile. These custom carousels showcase product features, materials, and highlight the brand’s heritage and craftsmanship.
Embracing the detailed, editorial design, Domaine Studio created multiple custom templates for product, collection, and blog pages with elegant, subtle animations. We built custom Shopify sections, empowering the Daveed team to update the site navigation themselves. With this clean, customizable navigation, brand operators can curate product displays within the dropdown menu. Additionally, we designed a custom newsletter signup feature, aligned with the site’s theme and typography, allowing the merchant to manage and update it as needed.
Displayed product thumbnails are restricted to the selected variant colour. This custom solution for Daveed’s PDPs minimizes distraction and maintains the uncluttered design. Since the product pages have custom content for each product, we coded theme sections for each, for which the Daveed team can add, remove, update and reorder product features, including images and text, themselves.
We gave Daveed a custom-developed shopping bag, which includes product upsell options and also integrates seamlessly with Bold’s Multi-Currency app, using styles that match the site’s design. Now their customers can add products to their cart without leaving the product page.
